We are introducing ourselves as a Production House of making Documentaries.
Recently we are working on a project based on Organic Tea Plantation. We need your help in this regard. We shall travel all the Tea Estates in India, Srilanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, China, Malaysia, Indonesia and Taiwan for our research and shooting. First time our research team of five persons will travel for about 20 – 50 days in each country depending upon the number tea estates. Next after four months the total shooting unit of 24 persons will travel for about 10 to 30 days in each country depending upon the number tea estates. Our team shall stay Hotels of 3 to 4 star category, which are nearest to the Tea estates.
Please help us on giving the following informations.
1)Total number of Tea Estates in each country.
(If possible state wise details)
2)Names and contact details of all organic tea estates in these countries.
3)How to reach from Kolkata?
4)Detail information about lodging, food, and transport.
5)Please make a budget about our tour.
We are looking forward for your kind cooperation and earliest response.
Thanking you in anticipation,
With regards,
Satchitbrata Gupta.
Hmmmm! Which part are you going to do? Other than vacation part?
You are welcome in Bangladesh.
About furnishing so many information without any hint of ’service charge’ or such remuneration, I personally think that you would get some ‘data’ those at best could be good for enhancing your general knowledge.
However, if you want to make a business trip with such a number of people and also for a “Production House of making Documentaries”, I think you would get quality response if you give them some time-frame to work and also spell out the remuneration part.
1) Total number of Tea Estates in each country.
Answer: This can be found from various sources, but again for people not dealing directly, one has to spend his/her time and money to find as accurate as possible answer.
2) Names and contact details of all organic tea estates in these countries.
Answer: It also requires similar efforts, as above.
3) How to reach from Kolkata?
Answer: You can take Bus Service that take somewhere from 14 to 16 hours from Kolkata to Dhaka. Government of India and Bangladesh both run state bus which are better than your having to break journeys at Benapole / Petrapole border and changing buses.
4) Detail information about lodging, food, and transport.
Answer: There are adequate arrangement of 3-star Hotel in Sylhet and Chittagong areas where concentration of tea gardens would make your trip productive.
5) Please make a budget about our tour.
Answer: Budget can wildly vary from person to person and mission to mission. However, as a rule-of-thumb, you may consider per day per person:
a) Food: US Dollar 10 or Taka 700 pdpp
b) Hotel: US Dollar 30 or Taka 2100 pdpp
c) Xport: US Dollar 10 or Taka 700 pdpp
d) Snacks: US Dollar 5 or Taka 350 pdpp
e) Extra: US Dollar 5 or Taka 350 pdpp
US$60 or Taka 4200 per day per person. First time’s 5 persons US$300 per day and for about 20 – 50 days in each country, let us assume 30 days as ‘mean’ or ‘average’ period of stay. Therefore, US$9000 for the “First time our research team” would be needed for staying in Bangladesh only. Add US$1000 for the up & down Bus Tickets, That would make the package programme stand at US$10,000 or Taka 7,00,000/- approximately.
If you need some more information, then please let me know and I will try to help you as much as possible, without investing extra cash money from my pocket (lol)!!
PS. For traveling by Air between Kolkata and Dhaka (may be up to Sylhet) you may need to add some more money. The exact figures could be worked out later.
Have a nice journey!!
